The aim of the training programme is to support the lecturers in the development of modules and to prepare them to give lectures on these topics in the future. To this end, UNIDU has developed a two-week programme (26 February to 8 March) that includes general activities for all participants as well as face-to-face meetings and discussions. The face-to-face meeting will take place with a professor or researcher specialised in this field, who can support the Armenian and Ukrainian partners both in the preparation of the module and in its implementation. Representatives from ANAU, ISEC NAS RA, University of Dubrovnik, University of Porto, Sumy National Agrarian University and the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering attended the meeting. Upcoming face-to-face meeting within the scope of the project, which was to take place in November, was postponed until March next year due to the war situation in both Armenia and Ukraine. During the two days, discussions and consultations took place on the implementation of the tasks in the respective working groups, project management issues and planning of further actions. The partners from Armenia and Ukraine presented a proposal for training modules in aquaculture and fisheries, including syllabuses. The next step will be the selection of responsible teachers from Ukraine and Armenia to undergo practical training in Nitra, Porto and Dubrovnik to acquire the necessary skills for teaching the proposed modules. As part of the benchmarking, about 28 globally recognized Master's programs of European universities were carefully studied in order to obtain a complete picture of modern best practices in the implementation of Master's programs in the field of aquaculture and fisheries.
