This initiative aims to explore the cultivation of this species under artificial conditions, develop efficient husbandry techniques, and improve methods for population restoration. Established with funding from the international AFISHE Erasmus+ project, the Aquaculture Laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge technology for research on freshwater fish and crustaceans. During the programme, the future laboratory assistants were able to gain practical experience with the most modern equipment used in fisheries laboratories. The skills and knowledge gained are invaluable for improving the students' laboratory practicals and supporting faculty members research endeavours of faculty members.
