Presentation of the AFISHE project at the National Erasmus+ Kick-off Days 2023 in Yerevan

On May 30-31, the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia (NEO-AM) and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia hosted National Kick-Off Days of the new Armenian higher and vocational education and training projects that successfully passed the competition under the Erasmus+ Call 2022. The aim of this event was to present the ongoing cooperation between Armenia and the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme and highlight its significant impact on the field of vocational (higher) education and skills development in the country. The Head of the EU Delegation in Armenia, Ms.Andrea Wiktorin, and the Deputy Minister of MESCS, Mr.Arthur Martirosyan, Lana Karlova – the Coordinator of NEO-AM, representatives of many HEIs, NGOs, VET organisations, employers and other stakeholders attended this event.

Remote greetings were extended by representatives from the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) and the Directorate- General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the EU Commission, Ms. Lucia Ganinni and Ms. Kinga Bereza-Husak, respectively.

During the two-day event, the projects implemented by the higher education and professional educational institutions that received the Erasmus+ programme in 2022 were presented, including the new project “Development of Aquaculture and Fisheries Education for Green Deal in Armenia and Ukraine: FROM EDUCATION TO ECOLOGY” (AFISHE) CBHE” coordinated by the Armenian National Agrarian University.

The project coordinator Garegin Hambardzumyan presented to the participants the AFISHE project, which is jointly implemented by the partners from Portugal, Croatia and Slovakia, Ukraine and Armenia, its activities and expected results.
