Meeting of the AFISHE Program Working Group at ISEC

On May 8, the International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA hosted a working group meeting of the program “Development of Aquaculture and Fisheries Education for Green Deal in Armenia and Ukraine: FROM EDUCATION TO ECOLOGY” (AFISHE) Erasmus+ CBHE, jointly implemented by International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA, Armenian National Agrarian University and Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology of NAS RA. The aim of the meeting was to discuss and outline the curriculum of the joint Master’s degree program in “Fishery,” considering benchmarking studies and recommendations from interviews with employers, as well as to compile a list of suitable subjects, a brief description of the program modules, and their desired outcomes.

As a result of the meeting, the working group developed the general structure of the training process, which includes the performance results of the joint Master’s program in “Fishery”, the arrangement of research practice and scientific internship and their regulations, the requirements for teaching staff, the necessary tools and technical resources for the implementation of VET, the components of the specialty’s educational program and the developed competencies.

It should be noted that the above-mentioned Master’s program is designed to combine the essential educational modules and outcomes, necessary to train both advanced professionals in the field and those who will develop and sustain aquaculture and fisheries.

The newly created Master’s program will be implemented through the joint efforts of the International Scientific-Educational Center of RA and the National Agrarian University of Armenia on the basis of the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology of NAS RA, which will be followed by the awarding of a joint diploma.
