Online meeting and discussion with partners about the organization of training

An online meeting was organised on 25 September 2023 to discuss upcoming trainings and meetings within the framework of the AFISHE project. Representatives from ANAU, ISEC NAS RA, University of Dubrovnik, University of Porto, Sumy National Agrarian University and the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering attended the meeting.

Upcoming face-to-face meeting within the scope of the project, which was to take place in November, was postponed until March next year due to the war situation in both Armenia and Ukraine. The meeting will take place at the University of Dubrovnik.

The next part of the meeting was devoted to the training topics and the selection of the university that would host the training participants. Training on the main modules of the project will be provided by three universities, including the University of Dubrovnik, the University of Porto and the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra.

As a result of the discussion, it was decided that the University of Dubrovnik will provide the training on topics such as Food Safety, Entrepreneurship, Ichtyopathology and General Ichtyology, Introduction to Ecology, Shelfish Farming, Fisheries Technology, Breeding Technologies in Mariculture while the University of Porto will train participants on topics such as Aquatic Animal Feeding and Nutrition, General Hydrobiology and Hydroecology, Animal welfare in Aquaculture, Food Nutrition and Technology. The remaining modules will be taught by trainers from the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. The training will take place in February-March next year and will last two weeks.
