The trainers are experts in the field of aquaculture and fish farming: Anastasia Horetska and Oleksiy Lemeshko from "Laursen Aquaculture" LLC - maintenance of water quality and maintenance of laboratory equipment; Ivan Targonii, individual entrepreneur – training on setting up and operating production processes in the fish feed production line. The event is aimed at SNAU teachers and aims to train methodological, information technology and psychological competences with regard to the application of interactive methods in the educational process. The aim of the training is to teach teachers how to design interactive lessons, adapt these methods for face-to-face, distance and blended teaching and implement student-centred and competence-based approaches. This interesting training was led by Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor Nataliia Hrytsai, who revealed the essence of the student-centred approach in the process of higher education, described the variety of modern educational methods and tools and characterised the most common innovative learning technologies. The laboratory was established with financial support from the European Commission as part of the EU Erasmus+ programme. It is housed in the Department of Animal Genetics, Breeding and Biotechnology at the Faculty of Biology and Technology. The laboratory is a state-of-the-art research facility designed to support the new "Aquaculture Technology" training programme and enable advanced research activities. It specialises in hydroecology, hydrobiology, hydrochemistry and the selection and breeding of various aquatic organisms. The main outcomes of the project should be 3 new and updated Master's degree programmes in Armenia and Ukraine, teaching and learning materials, upgraded infrastructure and well-trained teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as a network created between universities and the labour market, which will contribute to the training and retraining of needed professionals in Armenia and Ukraine.
