21 Oct Training of the teaching staff – Sumy National Agrarian University
On 21 October 2024, a training course on “Interactive and practical learning methods and tools” started at Sumy National Agrarian University, which will continue as part of the implementation of the project.
The event is aimed at SNAU teachers and aims to train methodological, information technology and psychological competences with regard to the application of interactive methods in the educational process.
The aim of the training is to teach teachers how to design interactive lessons, adapt these methods for face-to-face, distance and blended teaching and implement student-centred and competence-based approaches. Special attention will be paid to the socio-emotional support of participants in the educational process under the conditions of martial law.
The training will be led by Kovalenko Natalia Volodymyrivna, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor at A. S. Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University.
The second day of the AFISHE training was devoted to the study of the Kolb cycle in the design of an interactive training session. During the training, interactive methods of updating the teaching material were used, as well as its interactive presentation and consolidation of the new material. In addition, participants were also introduced to interactive methods such as «Know. Want to know. Learned», case method, pair work, mind map, open microphone, unfinished sentences.
The training proved to be extremely productive and fruitful as the participants were actively involved in discussions and debates. Various topical issues were discussed and everyone had the opportunity to express their opinions. This form of interaction contributed to the exchange of ideas, the development of critical thinking and the formation of new perspectives. All participants were satisfied with the results of the training.
