Learning to Teach: A Guide to Interactive Teaching

From 7 to 11 October 2024, a training in ISEC NAS RA was organised as part of the project activities to improve the teaching skills of the faculty members involved in the project. The aim of these trainings is to provide faculty members with theoretical and practical knowledge about innovative teaching trends and tools and the principles of student-centred and practise-based learning, to develop the ability to apply interactive, practise-based teaching methods in the classroom and to demonstrate the ability to independently create teaching content by using student-centred, interactive and practise-based teaching methods and tools.

At the end of the training, participants were familiar with the main innovative teaching trends effective in the education of higher education students; they understood the specifics of student-centred teaching and the importance of the right choice of teaching forms and methods for higher education students; they analysed teaching content and evaluated the effectiveness of different interactive learning methods; and they were able to implement innovative methods and technologies and use digital tools in the classroom. The training focused on trending topics such as modern teaching methods, interactive presentation of content, assessment principles, unleashing students’ creative thinking and AI tools in the classroom.
