The training was planned by the representatives of the U.Porto, Professors Augusto Faustino, Paulo Vaz-Pires and José Fernando Gonçalves, from ICBAS - Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences, where the training sessions took place, and included technical visits to various entities related to aquaculture and fisheries: the Sealife Porto aquarium, the Interdisciplinary Centre for Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR) of the U.Porto, the company Docapesca Portos e Lotas SA, canning factory Pinhais, the flatfish aquaculture facility Flatlantic in Mira and the Litoral Station of Aguda – ELA, in Gaia.
