This interesting training was led by Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor Nataliia Hrytsai, who revealed the essence of the student-centred approach in the process of higher education, described the variety of modern educational methods and tools and characterised the most common innovative learning technologies. The session began with a detailed analysis of learning technologies for developing critical thinking, project and research methods, portfolio technology, "inverted learning" and others. The aim of these trainings is to provide faculty members with theoretical and practical knowledge about innovative teaching trends and tools and the principles of student-centred and practise-based learning, to develop the ability to apply interactive, practise-based teaching methods in the classroom and to demonstrate the ability to independently create teaching content by using student-centred, interactive and practise-based teaching methods and tools. The aim of the visit was to get acquainted with the possibilities for planning and conducting research and practical learning for students enrolled in the joint Master's programme "Fish Farming" from the academic year 2024-2025. It should be mentioned that "Sevani Ishkhan" CJSC is the only facility in the region that uses brand new processing technologies, produces a wide range of fish products and is engaged in the reproduction of the endemic fish species Sevan trout. The laboratory will be a practical base for students starting their studies at NUWEE in 2024-2025 as part of the AFISHE project's updated Master's programme. The laboratory will also improve the level of practical training in the Bachelor's programme in the same subject area. The laboratory was established with financial support from the European Commission as part of the EU Erasmus+ programme. It is housed in the Department of Animal Genetics, Breeding and Biotechnology at the Faculty of Biology and Technology. The laboratory is a state-of-the-art research facility designed to support the new "Aquaculture Technology" training programme and enable advanced research activities. It specialises in hydroecology, hydrobiology, hydrochemistry and the selection and breeding of various aquatic organisms. The event was moderated by Viktoriia Vechorka, Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Technology.
