The meeting brought together representatives of universities from Ukraine, Armenia, and the EU, as well as stakeholders from the agricultural and fisheries sectors. The participants discussed: ▪️ the achievements of university teams and the results of project implementation; ▪️ modern approaches to improving the quality of education and research; ▪️ experiences of cooperation with business and governmental institutions in aquaculture and fisheries; ▪️ prospects for sustainable development and integration into the European educational and research space. On 25 April 2025, a guest lecture was held for the Ukrainian partners, in particular at NUWEE, with Assoc. Prof. Gayane Marmaryan, PhD, from the Department of Biosciences and General Chemistry at the Armenian National Agrarian University. Assoc. Prof. Marmaryan, who is also involved in the AFISHE project as an expert and researcher, provided valuable insights into the best practises in the field during the lecture and discussion. 10 Mar SNAU launches European crayfish rearing project

This initiative aims to explore the cultivation of this species under artificial conditions, develop efficient husbandry techniques, and improve methods for population restoration. Established with funding from the international AFISHE Erasmus+ project, the Aquaculture Laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge technology for research on freshwater fish and crustaceans. During the programme, the future laboratory assistants were able to gain practical experience with the most modern equipment used in fisheries laboratories. The skills and knowledge gained are invaluable for improving the students' laboratory practicals and supporting faculty members research endeavours of faculty members.
